Weird thing after OCing my GPU (newbie here)

So I overclocked my Gigabyte GTX 760 (rev 2.0) and I got a 10,5% graphical improvement in my tests but on the FireStrike 3DMark test this happened: (I'm running on "Extreme")

my physics score:
before OC - 6781
after OC  - 6731

In the physics test I got:
before OC - 21.53 fps
after OC - 21.37 fps

Can anyone explain why this just happened and should I be worried?

It's within margin of error, don't worry about it.

 

(Physics score is based off the CPU)

What is the GPU temperature while 3DMark is running? It sounds like the card might be throtteling due to high temperature. If you are able to make the coreclock show on OSD then you would be able to see if that is the problem. I'm not 100% positive that this is the problem though. And those scores are not that far off eachother, so there might be nothing wrong.

There is nothing wrong. The physics score is based off the CPU not the GPU. Changing the GPU clocks will not change your physics score.

i dont see anything wrong there you should be golden go play some games and see if you get a fps boost? (sometimes you really cant trust benchmarks)
