Can't access NAS

I have a rockstor nas, and I can't manage it remotely. The nas says I can access the web-GUI at 192.168.0.26 or 127.0.0.1, but neither is working. I tried looking up the IP address on multiple computers, but it says its not responding.

It's on a dell r410 if that helps.

Is 192.168.0.26 on your personal (routed) network? Same subnet as your PC/Dell Server?

Can you ping the Dell R410 server?

No IP conflicts?

127.0.0.1 is only reachable on the NAS machine itself, it's a loopback address ;)

Edit: what are you calling remote in this sense? From

1. a different location or

2. from within the same house?

If 1: you're using an internal class C network, you need to forward the correct port for the web interface of your NAS to your internal IP and connect to your WAN IP.

If 2: disregard 1.

is the NAS set to DHCP or Static IP?

coz it sounds like the NAS might have a different IP address

does it have a second LAN port which you can use to manage it?

otherwise you may need to reset the NAS with the reset button

it will revert the settings but the data will be fine

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
