Gtx 1050ti,I5 7500 able to stream?

Slimeey
Go to solution Solved by Se7en,

You should be able to stream with that. I can stream 720p60 and record 1080p60 (20k bitrate for recording, 2500 for streaming) at the same time and never break 35% CPU usage in OBS (just recording & streaming at the same time). 6700k at stock settings, 1.188v

EDIT: Forgot to include that my CPU usage preset for streaming is on veryfast

Would an i5 7500 and a gtx 1050ti be able to stream overwatch at 720p60 if the settings i use ingame is 1080p at low graphics?I have a 30-40mbps upload speed and using x264 to encode because people told me it allows u to have stream alerts?

You would need a new Motherboard for that. If you are going to do that, just get an i7 instead.

im actually selling all that parts to get a 1000 dollar ryzen 5 1600 and a 1060 build

@kk027 If you mean the 8700k I fully agree, but if he's a heavy streamer/content creator/editor and he's doing these simultaneously I think the Ryzen platform is the way to go. Definitely would benefit from those extra cores and threads. I guess we'll know if OP decides to tell us that. If he's just gaming and streaming, by all means - 8700k.

i have a friend who doesnt want his pc anymore and he has this pc for streaming,it has an i7 7700.If i was to take that i7 and use it with my 1050ti and save up for a 1070,would it be better? And if so,will i be able to run overwatch at low settings over 100fps?Thanks guys

Definitely. Depends on your resolution I guess. 1440p with a 1070 seems like an easy 100+ FPS probably on high settings even while streaming.

If they already got the parts, then it would be better to get the 8700K so they don't need a new Motherboard. If they didn't buy the parts yet, then it would be better to get the Ryzen 7 1700.

8700K not compatible with 200 and 100 series mobo
