Heyo was wondering the best & cheapest SSD just to put windows on lol

I'd go for like 250GB and use it as a boot drive that will also fit program files on it.

Get an 850 evo, the quality is worth it and it's not that expensive.

How does that compares to an samsung evo 850?

Evo will have a longer lifespan but nothing super significant, read and writes are so similar it won't make a difference. I own a few crucial SSD's and they have all been perfect.

Samsung seems a bit overpriced I think the best quality option for the money is actually WD, all my latest builds all have used either the Crucial MX series m.2 and/or 2.5" SSD's if it's more budget oriented build, or I go with the WD black m.2 NVME, or blue m.2 SSD.

Pretty much haha, but I find it unnecessary if you are on a budget to get the 850 Evo, I would by that Crucial BX200 SSD with my own money.

Samsung is slightly overpriced, but with good reason, they have the reputation for longevity where other brands don't, just Like how Western Digital charges slightly more then Seagate, because you know you can trust a Western Digital spinning hard drive (jury is still out on there SSD's, to new to say for sure).

 

Samsung has the longest warranties of any brand that makes an SSD, 5 years on even the EVO's and up to 10 years on the Pro's where other SSD's only have 3 year warranties, so part of what you are paying for is the longer warranty period.

I have a 2TB hhd for all my games and stuff
