I have been considering upgrading my gpu every since pubg came out and my pc doesn't run it on the best settings.

Specs: i5/6500

H110 motherboard

8gb ddr4

Rx 470

Now I don't really know much about the current hardware out there ever since I bought my rig.

I don't see myself spending over $300 on this new gpu.

If anything beyond my Rx 470 will bottleneck my cpu then let me know to reconsider other options.

Thank you in advance!

PUBG is quite light on the CPU so any modern chip with 4 threads should already be enough

Unless you can go used (980ti in that case), your budget cant afford any worthwhile GPU upgrades atm.

a 1060 6gb would be a pretty worth while upgrade

No, not worth paying the price for the little increase. Still wont be enough to turn up the settings.

uh.. no.. it is not much better than RX 470

hmm didnt know that. honestly i dont pay a whole lot of attention to ati cards lately

if he sold the 470 then bought a 1060 it would be like maybe 40$ in the end and it'll up the vram , so that might be worth it

difference would be bigger than that and no, not really worth it... might be able to sell the 470 for ~$150 with a little luck and get a 1070...

I would definitely sell it, But I want to pass it on to my brother who has a crappy 460 2gb.

you could get a 1060 which won't be much of an upgrade , but still a tiny biter faster but it'll allow you to pass down your current gpu.

otherwise I'm out of ideas for a faster gpu with 300$
