What ethernet cable shoukd i buy? Whats the best one for competitive gaming online?

Makes almost no different between CAT 6 and 5E, unless you are doing over a gigabit or doing long runs.

Plus, unless your internet is REALLY CRAZY UNBELIEVABLE fast, an Ethernet cable won't make much difference as its bandwidth is almost certainty higher than your internet connection.

Either Cat5e or cat 6 will do, both are very cheap over at mono price (you can pick up 50ft of Cat5e for like $7) I bought a 50ft role of cat6 for $7.55

I did in fact need Cat 6e. 

But in general downloading for a long while is the only point in getting anything above Cat 6.

I only ask cause if you have cat5 in your walls that you are using there is no point on getting a cat7 cable
