I need help with my HDD now!!

when i turned on my computer today the WD blue 500gb hard drive was pretty much gone, when i try to open it, it just give me a message that tells me that i need to format it. and it has over 400gb of games on it, and no backup...

get another drive
copy steamapps folder to the new drive
format the old drive

500gb is not much space

do this using ubuntu put it on a flash drive and boot to it get in copy the files over and format the drive if windows wont let you 

 

its the quick and easy way to do anything windows wont let you do

Well copying 500GB of data isn't exactly the quickest process ever, especially from a bad drive.

Well, my hard drive was pretty much dead, so i had to format it.And I just replaced it with a WD 2tb black drive i bought from a friend

Nope ( but all my games was from steam, other than euro truck sim 2 and wow..
