Any of them. There is no such thing as a motherboard that is "VR-ready".

I agree. Any motherboard will do and in terms of CPU just make sure it won’t bottleneck your gpu. The best bet for you would be to buy used as you will get the most bang for buck that way.

If you only have $100 for your CPU and motherboard, why do you have a VR headset?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

unless you buy used, you wont be able to find a cpu and a motherboard that will give you the power you need. also, most things are going ddr4 now anyways so used seems to be the better choice.

Haswell i5?

4670 is a good choice, with an H81 board. you might be able to get it used for close to $100

It could fit your budget but you would have a larger hit on performance, so you would get a choppy VR experience.

Exactly.

But to answer his question, an A320 or B350 board and a R3 1200 and R3 1300X would probably work best but both are a bit more expensive than what he can afford lol

So, I guess maybe a cheap 8320 or 8350 mobo bundle or used 8320 or 8350 and 990FX board or something like that.

asking for good parts with no budget isnt really gonna get the job done =/ you should save up a bit more and buy something that will actually work instead of settling for something you can scrounge together for 100$ that wont last as long.
