Have you ever played a game like L4D or CS and said it looks too choppy

Personally, I have a 60hz monitor and I adjust my settings so that it hits around 45-50 FPS. I DEFINITELY see a difference down at 30FPS though.

I really dislike going under 60, which is why I have 2 780s. I can tell it's less than 60 even if only by 5 fps.

console peasants are fine with 24FPS, so yea, i know we are the master race but it depends what you start with, if you start from console and go to 60Hz and go to 120Hz you wont really see a difference, but when you from 120Hz to 60Hz to console you will see a difference

thats what i think about it.

depends on the game, for example i played crysis 3 at about 20-30 fps and it felt very smooth, other games I need to play them at 60 fps at least to make them smooth

you going to get blown away, when you slowly go up you'll see less difference / no difference,

If i'm playing in single player, I want no less than about 75 or 80. When i'm playing competetivly online. I expect no less than 120. Even with 2 780's, I will adjust settings to get my 120fps. When playing a really competitive fps, you DO have a big advantage aiming again someone that is playing at 60hz. Best way for me to describe coming from 60fps to 120fps, is like 30-45 fps to 60fps.

I can see a big difference between 60 and 120. Even with vsync on 60FPS looks choppy to me, but 120fps with vsync on look very smooth. Also, if you can keep the framerate above 120 all the time vsync is not nearly as bad on 120hz monitors because the lag is significantly reduced compared to 60hz vsync
