Just need a confirmation that the DER8AUER DELID-DIE-MATE 2 will work with 8700k before I buy it.

Or are there better, possibly cheaper options out there?

Have you tried to OC it without delid yet? you know people with great 240mm AiO water coolers are managing 4.9ghz to 5ghz without delidding.

It will work with coffe lake ... it's the same size as previous generation so there are no problems.

Sure you can find cheaper delid tools on ebay, but I wouldn't exactly put my trust in them xD

Tool from der8auger costs like 30€ ... well worth the money if you ask me.

a vice is what i use for deliding personaly. just the one in the garage

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

That's good idea. But if I ever decide to buy that tool, I will keep it to myself, so I can also delid CPUs in the future.

And I could also borrow it to friends for 5$ every time :P
