Steam bundled ICEY and Steam link for a total cost of about $9.00

Steam link sells for $50.

Sounds like a damn good bargain to me.

is steam link even any good?

Apparently not, considering it's reviews. Unless your internet connection has really fast upload speed. Even then it supposedly has problems.

Steam Link is for local streaming from your desktop to the Steam Link, it has nothing to do with your internet connection. Unless your trying to do a VPN thing where you stream your desktop over the internet to the Steam Link through a VPN tunnel.

It works ok, if you would like to game on your TV or something I would pick it up.

You do need a controller of some sort to go with it. Keyboard and mouse work as well I believe. It just plugs in over USB.

I use mine nearly everyday. I've stated it before, it is great if you have a wired connection. Wireless adds too much latency for most games.

this.

considering the bundle is 9 bucks, paying another 8 bucks for shipping and handling almost doubles the price.

i pulled the trigger on it anyways because i always wanted one to play around with but the original price was too high for a gagdget like this. even if it is crappy it would at least give me something to make a new video about.

i like playing with odd things

The first link just goes to the Steam homepage and the second link goes to the Steam Link store page, which just links to Amazon which offers no such deal

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

2nd link worked fine for me.  Took you to the main Steam Link page on Steam, which shows several options, one being this sale.  After shipping, mine came out to just under $17.

None of the links work for me, and let's just sit back for a second and think "would Valve really sell it for $1?"

Yeah...
