Not customer support. Software support like security updates. IIRC Windows 7 was the OS that got most infected by the ransomware this year, Win 10 is the least.

By support he meant Software Updates and especially security updates i guess, not Indians that you can not understand. (no offence against Indian people).

Win 7 still gets all secturity updates just wont get "mainstream support" and microsoft will stop supporting it in 2020 so if you already have a win 7 key or drive then just use that. If not just buy win 10

Windows 10 is a giant nightmare when it comes to driver stability i've found. My system was constantly crashing and rebooting randomly under Win10, now under windows 7 it's rock-solid again. Was about to start swapping out parts when I gave it one last try under a different OS. Glad I did.

I miss out on DX12, but:

A. Nvidia card, and Nvidia's DX12 driver is shiiiiiit.

B. I want vulkan to replace DX12, so i'm voting in this way.

The only time people really contact support is when they run into activation issues.

I would choose Windows 10. People will say Windows 7 is the more secure OS considering all the telemetry shenanigans with Windows 10. But you're kidding yourself if the thought of porting that down to Window 7 snuck through Microsoft's mind.

Also, even though Windows 7 is on extended support due to the many large businesses IT systems still utilizing Windows 7, getting updates on Windows 7 is a huge hassle. Windows update has been progressively getting worse overtime for Windows 7. Sometimes it'll straight up not do anything.

Try my profile. And no ironing was going to fix this.

And not even going to talk about the privacy concerns when it comes to Win10. Or the fact you can't hide updates.

Well then you know what to do ;)

You can get OEM Win 7 keys on websites (you know which) for less than 10 dollars.

I had massive GPU issues. Couldn't even get to get login screen. Would glitch out and return to lock screen. haha. Been running rock solid for the past 2 years (if I discount the HDD problems).

Im still using win 7 and will not switch to 10 soon. In my opinion Microsoft has never made a better operating system till today. When 2020 kicks in and i still game a lot i will consider 10 for my gaming rig but not before and my other machines wont run windows at all.

The only issue is Windows Update as it's literally broken under Windows 7.

in 2020, so that's only 3 years from now, whereas win 8 alone supports (not extended) till 2020 so win 10 will last way longer

If you are one of these people you can upgrade there.
Personally I like the onscreen keyboard which happens to be a assitive feature in windows

Yes, but also you can fresh install win7 activate it and then update using media creation tool. No official comment by Microsoft so far but it works did it for a friend 1 month ago.
