You don't need a lot for COD...

Anyway get a 144/120 hz monitor if you do not have one already.

I won't bother suggesting parts because with a 5000 budget you can literally buy anything you want. Just make sure to get Nvidia since they have shadowplay.

Instead of the Gene I would probably get the Asus Rampage IV Black. It's amazing!

Hard to find in AU yet, and out of stock where it was available before, plus that's just overkill on any budget :P

Why not a Haswell with Asus Formula board. That's more focused towards gaming.

i would suggest him Haswell with any 1150 board (not that i dont like formula, its great but expensive for what it offers) and may be get a PROPER audio setup with say, O2+oDAC, thats actually the best u can get.!

If you're only play CoD and BF you really don't need to spend 5k. You could do 1.5-2k and have a PC that will last you for 5 years and the only thing you will need to switch out from time to time is the graphics card.

With this budget wouldn't you want to be going with an i7? Also last time I heard tri SLi isn't doesn't scale very well yet.

I'm pretty sure 780s can only be in three-way SLi. Yeah, it is generally better than CF.

Wouldn't the 4770k have a longer lifetime assuming games start to use HT?

No,because HT...

Is just to maximize a core usage,not substitute for more cores.

780s can only 3-way?Really?

I'm pretty sure Nvidia has dropped quad SLi for everything except the very top tier cards because it isn't worth it.

What is your current setup? Aswell as peripherals?

Pcpartpicker refuses 4 way sli,and i heard crossfire is worse.An FX 8320 should be way more than enough for this.

Going tri 780's on that motherboard isn't smart. Hell for his use - I wouldn't spend more then 2500$.

I completely agree with Boss here, contact that guy if you want to have a fancy PC. No idea how quickly he can make something tho, he puts his builds on youtube in lots off steps.

For my suggestion, this would be it:

Case: Is always personal, so just picked the cheapest case I knew would be perfectly fine for this build.
GPU: 2x780 crushes games for frames in 1080p, but I would suggest to go to 1440p. If you really want the 780Ti, wait till aftermarket coolers. Sure, christmas is soon and likely won't be able to get them. Then just tell your dad that the best cards out there aren't avaible to buy yet. Don't get 3 cards on a Z87 haswell chip.

RAM: For gaming 8GB-1866 is enough. Getting higher ram speed won't do much and is stupid to get.

CPU: Just went with it because in the budget it's acceptable, a few games show a few more frames on the 4770K compared to the 4670K so that's why I picked it.

Storage: Budget to go this route. I could save money and get a mechanical drive and a smaller SSD, but they are loud.

Sound card: Just because, could aswell consider to get an expensive DAC/AMP, but for gaming this will do just fine.

Fans: Replace the stock fans on the H100i and place the 2 SP120's on it in pull if you want to be able to clean it easy, in push if you want the looks. Remove all stock fans and place 2 AF120s in the front as intake, 1 at the back as exhaust.

I'm alergic to the corsair fans ( Loud as f*ck IMO ) . But yeah that's a pretty nice build but i would really suggest with that kind of money that you contact singularity computers to get an amazing build . Check out some of his builds over at youtube , they are state of the art builds with high level of detail and costumer service.

Those fans aren't that loud, sure they aren't as quiet as others. But won't really be bothersome in his case. Haven't heard the new LED fans tho, but I assume they are pretty much the same. Just need to configure the fans to a low RPM setting and tada, quiet fan! But yep, singularity pc's makes amazing systems.

Thanks for the help, cant wait till christmas now :D gonna get the parts in the next couple days. Much appreicated!

I don't understand why you WANT to spend that much. Just because you can spend the money, doesn't mean it's actually a smart thing to do. 32GB for GAMING. You have no idea, but 8GB is still more then enough for every single game on the market. If you are really worried, sure get 16GB. But 32GB on a GAMING pc, is just making me mad.

1200W for 2 780Ti's is way to much, you could run 3 with that PSU. for 2 780Ti's I would suggest the a gold+ 850W seasonic/corsair PSU.

Going 2011 socket, is just stupid in terms for gaming. The socket is designed for people who do heavy work load, such as rendering/video editing/etc..  Sure 6 cores, herp derp. Much better for games. Wrong, even in games where there is use off more cores, it's not that insane compared to the 4670/4770K. Who are much cheaper.

8,5TB off space. Have fun getting 1 4TB drive full. Again, high capacity drives are for people who get big files such as video editors/game developers. Not for a gamer. Most games don't go over 5GB, the new AAA titles hit around 20/25GB. 8,5 TB = 8704GB. Gooooood luck getting that many games. Sure movies, fine - I know you download them. Most people do, 1,5GB for blue ray I think it is now? 0,7GB for a normal one? Oke.. let's put music on it aswell then. Fine! Lets say 10MB for the very big songs.

Let's make a list then:

* 500games off 20GB = 1000GB. 1TB ~

* 500movies off 1,5GB = 750GB. 0,75TB.

* 50.000songs off 10MB = 500.000MB = 488GB = 0,5TB.

So if you have all that, you used a good 2,25TB. Good luck ever having that many games, movies and music. But hell, 8,5TB - why not right?

Just have a look at my setup. Sure it's not as expencive as the one you are looking at, but it will be almost the same in terms off gaming. 2 780Ti's ofcourse will perform better then 2 780s. But you have the budget left to get 2 780Ti's. But you won't be having ANY trouble with 2 780's for a lonnngggg time.
