4D Gaming

This company claims to have made 4D gaming a reality. I'm a bit suspect about the product, but it looks pretty cool.

Order of adoption:

1. Porn industry

2. Amazon/Netflix

3. One game

4. Movie industry

5. Game industry

 

I'm guessing this'll stop at Dane Jones or Amazon.

This would be pretty interesting...hopefully the first iterations aren't like South Park's. There are some things I'd rather not experience.

We see in three dimensions, but we can't really quantify smells and touches/pressures. 

 

I'm not really hyped for this since half of the games I play are in deserts... and I'd rather not experience Florida indoors.

Plus my last computer simulated a roaring dragon constantly, and the one before that did a great job of standing behind a jet plane taking off (heat and sound)...

actually, the 4th dimension is time...not smell or taste or any other.

 

Also, you'll never be immersed in a game or a movie or anything else so long as you're watching it happened on a screen...this is not even 3D...it's still 2D...if you want real immersion, and real 3d, with perspective and everything, you're looking at a virtual reality headset such as the vive or rift...and frankly, those really DO NOT need any other ''D'' to feel immersive, just it's the true definition of full 3D, being INSIDE a game or a movie.
