Removing the guest user from my Mac

Hello, I enabled the guest account on my Mac for a friend but would like to know how to remove it completely. Even after I’ve disabled it the account logo shows up in the user selection on start up.

Have you tried going into the user management and disabled the guess user?

That’s the suggestion everyone says but they aren’t realizing that’s not the issue. 

 

I had had to run a sudo command in the terminal to fix it.

That's also another way of doing it.

When I enabled the guest account it added that user but once I disabled it my Mac displayed “other” in its place. 

 

Nothing short of the sudo command could have fixed it.
