Topic time.

Who else wants to see the LAN rack on the set active and lit up during the show?

Every show, I think to myself "man, it'd be nice if that thing were doing something"
I feel like the nice soft, random, out of focus blinking lights would be nice in the background and give us people with attention issues something to look at other than Reddit during the show.

 

It doesn't really need to be used for anything, just hook up a couple NUCs or trashtops doing bandwitdth tests between themselves in the stack.

Also, whatever happened to that "what fan setup is better" test Linus did a LONG time ago? (1-2 years ago)
They put 3 identical computers with different push/pull configs behind a set, and said we'd see them "later".

After all those new renos, you'd think we would have had an update on them =(

i think that video was done in december and was to run for a whole year.. i'm expecting a video will be released late december/early january

I agree, the rack needs to be #LIT and have RGB strips that are controlled by how loud Linus is yelling.

The 1 year thing was posted in December last year, so not nearly that long ago. Also pretty sure it was Luke. For some reason people keep thinking it was ages ago.

I too agree that this RACKS RGB

If you find yourself getting distracted, I find turning up the playback speed to 1.5x concentrates the information to just the right density.

What exactly do you expect or want them to do?  You do realize he's been rather busy with the usual load of 1+ videos per day, and the renovation, which incidentally has impacted the WAN set as well, right?
