Sadly I had to remove AI Suite 3 due to glitches, on which I really loved the fan controller as it was so simple and user friendly.

Now I'm sitting here with SpeedFan, scratching my head and simply have a horrible experience, wishing I could go back to AI Suite 3 again...

Is there any fan control software out there that are more or less just as user friendly as the one in AI Suite 3?

Asus X99-A w/ BIOS 3402 | Intel i7 5820k OC @4.4GHz 1.28V w/ Noctua NH-U14S | 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 OC @2666MHz 12-14-14-28 | Asus Geforce GTX970 STRIX OC | EVGA 750 G2 750W | Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB | Windows 10 64-bit | Be-Quiet Silent Base 800 w/ Silent Wings | 2x Dell U2414H OC @72Hz w/ Display Port

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU

Clean install windows and then install AI suite again without any other of the asus software, it should work fine.

 - Can't find any way to control the fans in Corsair Link

 - I tried reinstalling AI Suite 3 to see if the program was the one causing a specific crash. Then nothing works when I installed it again, and I found out later it's because it currently collides somehow with Creators Update. So if you ever reinstall AI Suite 3, you're likely to encounter this issue as well. Basically everything slows down to the point where the PC ís unusable and you're forced to uninstall AI Suite 3 for now.

 - If I'd need help with SpeedFan I'd look up a tutorial, I'm more just frustrated that this program is my only option at the moment (since I don't like it at all)... unless I find any other program.

For now I've successfully managed setting up my own fan curve in SpeedFan, but I really want a different software ASAP, this one is pretty inferior to Fan Xpert in AI Suite 3.

Link and CAM only support fan control if you are using their hubs (Grid+ v2 and Commander Mini)

Your only software options are mobos software aka AI Suite and Speedfan. There aren't any other software controls using only mobo headers. CAM and Link work, but require to use their own hardware. BIOS is option, but depending on board might lack options compared to software.

@Majestic I'd need all the help with Speedfan. That thing is horrible for beginners.

But once you master it, it has so much more functionality and less restrictions than the more user-friendly ones.

Have I misunderstood the software, or do you create a full profile for every fan you want a fan curve on, i.e one profile per fan? What if I want to switch the overall audio level from the fans from my standard mode to a night mode if it needs to be running during the night in my room, how would I set that up?

In AI Suite 3 you created one full profile covering all fans, so when I wanted to for instance switch to the night mode I only had to load one profile.

It's profile per controller chip. Modern boards that means each fan header. You can select multiple sources for temps for each profile. AFAIK there's no easy way to switch between profiles. It's meant to be "setup and forget" - style software.
