Reasons for iPhone 8 over Pixel XL?

Underi

I'm thinking about buying a new phone since my Samsung Galaxy J5 is getting slower and slower every day. I thought that maybe I should put a little bit more money into a new phone this time so that I don't need to be spending 200 euros every year for a new phone. Top contenders at the moment would be iPhone 8 and Google Pixel XL. Are there any other good ones I could consider? My budget is about 700 to 1000 euros or so.

My stuff:

Spoiler

CPU :  Intel i5 8400 | GPU : MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB

RAM : 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 3600MHz

Mouse : Logitech G502 HERO SE | Keyboard : Mountain Everest Max w/ Cherry MX Brown

Headset : Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro 250Ω w/ AT2020USB+

Monitor : Acer XF240H @  144Hz

Wait for the Pixel 2 and take a look at the Galaxy S8. If you want an iPhone, get the 7. The iPhone 8 is the most boring phone of the year and it's slower than the 7. lol

Raw performance. If you use your phone for heavy tasks, the A11 is an absolute screamer.

As for the Pixel, wait for the next version.

We really don't know what Google is going to unveil yet. It's a tad bit early to say wait for next year when we haven't had many leaks or info.

And yes, the iPhone 8 is a monster but I think the extra juice is to make it more future proof. There still isn't much use for a lot of phone power yet.

I think it’s a lot to do with AR
