TL-WN823N Wifi Adapter problems on Ubuntu 17.04 and SteamOS

Hi guys!

Yesterday I wanted to install SteamOS on my PC and the Installation succeeded but my wifi didin't work and I could not figure out my Root Password, so I thought I should try it with Ubuntu 17.04 but even after trying out several Drivers none of them worked...so what do you recommend me guys?

I don't know if they matter but here are my Specs: i3-6100, GTX 1050 ti, and 16 GB of RAM

I hope you can help me.

You dont know your root password? there is no root account in Ubuntu. Use sudo + your user password to do root stuff.

You say you have a problem with your wifi but you list every hardware except your wifi. What is your wifi nic? Use lsusb or lspci to find it. Look up your wifi in the debian wiki to get it working.
