Why MSI?

Hello people.

 

I am in a bit of a pickle..

 

I'm writting an essay about PC desktops and i have to talk about things like.. Why choose MSI instead of other brands?..

So after a bit of thinking and some google searching i still can't come up with any solid reason to choose MSI or any other brand for that matter..

Even tho' they are prebuilt PC's, they dont offer any hardware that u cant get seperately and i believe you can get most of the software too.

 

So imagine you are a salesman and a costumer asks you.. Why should i choose the MSI instead of any other brand?..   What would you say? Go.

nothing, they tend to be full of bloatware and are expensive for what you get. i guess looks could be one?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Change topic to something like "Products over brands". Then you can write books around that.

If you really wana stick with that. Then maybe those awkward PC build yt videos? /s

Seriously, maybe it's just to me. All brand seems to be more or less the same with the same product. So I rather you choose your topic like which is better, DIY PC or prebuilt PC. Something like that would be easier to write your essay on anyway (at least to me).

Why pick a brand over a product?

Personally haven't used the customer service many times except for Sapphire, i still can't say I pick that brand over an other one.

When the other brand has the better product why don't give it a shot?

 

It is fair to say some brands are just way better in making robust good products but when some outsider stands out, you should say like nah i'm going with my "preferred" brand again. 

 

Personally i set a Blacklist instead of a Whitelist.

This means since I have a majority of Corsair and Asus products this doesn't mean they are on my "whitelist", i like them for IMO making such nice products.

But am not afraid to switch to a other brand if they have the better product.

 

I make a Blacklist.

Products i have encountered problems with AND more than once... (Because I don't find it fair to hate on them because my product had a minor problem only once)

Will get on my Blacklist, top of my head are Razer products when it comes to Mouses and Handhelds.

Sapphire I will never encounter in my life again, due their customer service.

Brands are very subjective. I love MSI because if I need the customer service, it's there. Better than HP, Dell, ASUS, and any of their competitors in MY experience. Others have the exact opposite. ASUS has great products, but I cannot stand their customer service. It isn't helpful from MY experience, but my brother has had the opposite experience. My MSI products last, my other brands didn't, others have the exact opposite experience.

 

So, I wouldn't do something like branding. You can do architecture of CPUs, GPUs, and stuff like that. Something that actually has some scientific bearing, and is a physically tangible and non-subjective thing. (Bias towards Intel, Nvidia, AMD is not the same thing. Hardware is hardware. Ex: I like AMD, but science cannot back me up and say the RX 480 is better than the 1080)

 

You can talk about PC evolution, expansion, and adoption. You've got early PCs, home servers, Raspberry Pi, smart phones, and everything in between.

 

Don't do brands. You can write a paper about the evolution of shoes and how they impact performance in sports, but I don't think there is much non-subjective material to say that Nike products are scientifically better than Puma, Adidas, Reebok, etc...

 

Same goes for any other branding. Unless your essay is supposed to be opinionated, stay away from brand superiority.

write about personal experience.

 

for example, if your previous laptop was MSI, and lasted 10 years before it broke, you could say i chose MSI for my new laptop because of that experience. 

 

i'm not sure your teachers would see that as a "great reason" though. it's just an idea.

MSI makes some decent motherboards. Also some garbage ones. They haven’t changed their cooler design in a long time so it looks pretty bad now days
