all im gonna say is - DO NOT retract the mic once you extend it for use

i used to own the Siberia V2

every day i would extend and retract the mic at least 1-2 times daily

mic stopped working within 6 months

steelseries RMA department literally told me to fuck off - that conversation i had with them was one of my first LTT posts

edit: needless to say im never buying steelseries products again

I have a older Steelseries headset with the same mic that they use on the Siberia v2. I didn't see any kind damage to it and my friends haven't complained either. But i'll keep it in mind ;)

Beware of hinges & integrated wiring. I've had those connection wear out. Eventually, I'll smarten up and teach myself how to solder in replacement contacts.
