uhh that is quite old. Just get a sound card from asus, those are usually pretty okay for their price

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

I don't recommend the Cloud / Cloud II / CloudX; they have a small soundstage, bad imaging and sound very muddy compared to HD668B.

and i know a whole lot of people who can recommend those headsets as they are one of the best at those budget ranges that come with a mic attached

Recommend them personally or recommend them by repeating what they read and hear with a false sense of authority? Like you're doing now...

Take notice of the part where I said I compared them. Perceived performance is relative, and I don't consider anyone who doesn't understand this to have valid opinions.

A headset is a headphone with a mic. You can turn any headphone into a headset with a ModMic, Minimic or BoomPro.

i know that hardwarecannucks and pauls hardware and all of those other tech channels, even linustechtips, that they all have recommended the hyperx cloud at least once, because they are the top dog of headphones in the low budget part.
