(Update)Uber loses licence in London

Rupe

No matter where you fall in the Taxi vs. ride share debate, Uber as a company has made some questionable (if not downright despicable) moves in the past, so I don't feel sorry for them one iota.  My first thought upon reading the title.

*I tried to find an image of someone snickering, but I couldn't find a good one so I settled for this.

I have never used a regular taxi, but I have on occasions used an Uber, only because you can get £10 off vouchers when you create a new account and where I need to go it would rarely cost more than that. Any other time I either get a lift off the fam or get the bus, after all I can travel anywhere in the North East for £3.80 a day which is less than a Taxi to anywhere useful.

If they decided 'ban' Uber up here, I don't even think I would notice, nor care!

Both Uber and regular cabs drive super dangerously in London. I'm surprised at how some drivers even have a car license!

Guess they will have to go back to sitting in a taxi cab driven by a migrant who barely understands the rules of the road and personal boundaries when it comes to women.

After a two second Google search, I found out that Uber used to be called UberCab from 2009-2011. Do I trust a company who's trying to brainwash people into thinking they're a ride share company when they used to even call themselves a "cab" company? No. Also doesn't help that their former name would've meant "Super Cab".
