Water can leak from the hole, so maybe an RMA will be the best option.

It's return merchandise authorization (RMA), basically a warranty claim.

you won't get a RMA approved if you have damaged the unit yourself.

RMA is in a very crude term, basically warranty. if the pump died suddenly from normal use, that's a RMA claim.

you could run the system outside the case in a bucket to see if it leaks, though i would just replace it if i were you as the risk of a leak developing over time is likely

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

It doesn't seem as if the channels are punctured just the fins are bend badly and since no coolant runs through the fins and only the channels then it may be fine. The channels are the long tom to bottom pipes that the fins are attached to. The damaged fins could be somewhat straightened with a tooth pick.

About the RMA that was discredited, you never know with NZXT, they are a very flexible company eager to help/please the customer within reason, if you have a problem i think you should try it.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

Only looks like the fins are a bit dammaged. Try and run it outside of your case for a while to see if it leaks.

Plug it in. Doesn't look like they even is a hole. Best to find out outside the case.
