sshd vs nvme ssd

should i get a sshd of 1tb or a 250gb nvme ssd+500gb hdd.

 

i dont care about the storage size difference, i just want to know what is better for a new gaming pc. 

i have heard that sshd, are much better that hdd,s because of the cache. but the cache is really small. does it make that much of a difference?

i've actually talked over this with my boss.. we have a bunch of SSHD's out there.. they are so much not worth..

 

the systems are still as slow loading as with a HDD, and the disks have proven less reliable than preferred.

The SSHD is kind of a weird in between. I would go straight to SSD if your already spending the money. And unless you need the PCIE transfer speeds, a regular SATA ssd would be fine.

really? mine works like 9 ssds in raid 90

If you're only using these for a gaming PC don't even bother with NVMe drives, only really useful if you plan on transferring large amount of files quite often.

 

Just get say a 500gb sata ssd for OS and main programs you use, and 1tb hdd for the rest of your stuff. will likely work out cheaper too.

Get an NVMe SSD! Then you can go around saying "my computer has a much faster SSD than yours N V me!
