Need suggestion for SSD drives to use in RAID0

Go to solution Solved by ChrisRK,

Allright, I'll scrap the RAID0 idea then and I'll go with a single larger Samsung 840 Evo then.

Thanks everyone!

Hey guys.

I am going to buy two ~120GB SSD's and have them in RAID0.

But I need some suggestions for what drives will work better in RAID0.

These are the drives I can choose from: http://www.komplett.no/search?bn=10088&category=10088_Harddisker%2FSSD&cnet-A00076-queryfacet=[107374182400+TO+213674622976]&q=*%3A*&sort=titleSort%3AASCENDING&subcategory=11126_SSD

Which SSD should I get?

You won't see much of a speed increase by going raid with sdd's. I would rather buy one big ssd.

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K 4,6GHZ OC MB: MSI Mpower z77  RAM: Kingston Genesis 1600Mhz CL9 16GB

GPU: ASUS R9 290 Direct CUII  PSU: Corsair AX 860

If your aren't doing large file transfer, don't go RAID.

But since you ask, Samsung EVOs. those things are way too sexy.

I'm going to say Kingston Hyper X just because everyone else will be recommending Samsung Evo's and because the write speeds are better on the Kingston drives as well as the reads. =p

Good stuff :D The Samsung 840 EVO comes with a metric-tonne of useful software, I personally think that even though it's slower than the 840 Pro, the software makes it instantly better.
