Anyone got reccomendations for free 3D modeling software for 3D printing? Need to make a part for something, and I usually use tinkercad but its not letting me put a peice where it needs to be.

 

Doesnt need to be complicated

Are you a student? If so, you can try getting Autodesk for free. 

 

Edit: There's also SketchUp, FreeCAD, and LibreCAD. @TubsAlwaysWins

sketchup, blender, meshlab. also what @ARikozuM said. Autodesk is probably your best bet.

I wouldn't recommend Autodesk if it has to be paid for unless it has a lot of value to the user. 

 


$300/yr subscription or $1000 per computer back when I was looking for CAD software.

The included software in windows might be enough, if not then use sketchup :)

Im am a student but I dont have a .edu email but thanks. Ill probably give SketchUp a go

I don't think you need one. At least, I'm not signed in with my .edu e-mail. 

 

Just checked, I'm signed in with my normal hotmail.com.

Maybe an AutoDesk Program? I currently use Inventor in school,  but that is used more for designing real life products
