Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

You'll need a much better GPU for VR. Get a 1060 6GB, i5-6500/6600K or R5-1500, 8GB RAM (faster if you're going unlocked chipset), and a decent PSU.

WHAT DO I NEED TO RUN IT DO I NEED A STRONG PC A DECENT ONE CAN I USE A 1050TI OR RX 550 4 GB PLEASE TELL HOW MUCH RAM AND STUFF

i got 1070 with 4790k both oced hard and some games have problems running Vive at 90fps as is needed from vive. Especially in The Climb -> for that u need at least 1080 or more to run it at 90fps and also having decent graphics in it. But for most games 1070 is enough. But less i would not be sure if it is enough.

noice the staff got here I feel special

And you found your caps lock key! :)

 Good, I was getting worried.

One important thing to note: The recommended specs are to be able to run ALL vr games. You can absolutely play SOME games with lower specs, but not all. Though, keep in mind the same game in VR needs more power to run it than it would on a regular TV.

60 FPS at 1920x1080 is 124.4 million pixels per second. A lot of people won't mind 30FPS, which makes this only 62.2 MP/s.
VR needs 90FPS at 2160x1200, which is 233.3 MP/s, and that's the minimum that you can't go below without ruining the experience.

That's almost twice the processing power to run VR. So just because you run modern games fine, doesn't mean VR games will. However, games like Rec Room will run fine on much lower spec systems than something like Call of the Starseed.
