Hi guys,i have an old antec sonata elite case i got because of it's low price and it came with a exhaust fan at the back.I've been recommended to add an intake fan to it ,but i can't seem to find the place for it.

my rig:i5-4590- z87-k -8gb ram-500gb hdd - cx450m.

PS:i've never done any case modding and i don't have the tools for it.

It doesn't have another fan mount, you have to stick with what you have.

You could hot glue a fan into the front HDD bays...... I did that with my cooler master k280 although I did need to take some of the DVD bays out but it works and I now have three front fans instead of one.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Btw guys if i put the intake fan on the vent in side panel wouldn't the hdd bay stop airflow ?

You do however have a vent on the right side from the front, you can possibly make a DIY fan mount from that if anything. :)

Nah it wont be a big of a deal, if anything you'll still see some sort of heat decrease since you'll actually get some cold air in there to begin with :)

Not that much. All cases have something in front of fans. Even things like Define S. My previous case had 9x 5.25'' slots, most of them in front of 200mm intake fan. Didn't have much effect on cooling. If you would stuff all bays with drives, then we could talk about issue.

 

Also, don't use glue. You could use just normal fan screws or zipties to get much better result.
