2 TB Firecuda, or Raid 0 WD Blues for gaming?

I'm finally getting around to replacing my old 1tb 5400 wd blue I've used til now for games, movies, etc, or rather, my brother will buy it from me for $35 and I've been thinking about getting a faster one for awhile now

 

So that leads me into this post, which is quicker for games? A 2tb "game optimized" firecuda drive, or a couple 7200 blues in raid 0?

Unless you're only playing open-world games and are ready to risk data, I wouldn't do RAID 0. My vote goes to the BarraCuda.

Neither. A 2TB Seagate BARRACUDA or a 2TB Toshiba P300.

Raid 0 doesent change read times.

Good idea on the Barracuda instead of firecuda, jsut looked up some comparison and for the price difference there is hardly a performance difference.

There is a performance difference between the two, but you'd have to play one game at a time and load and play the game multiple times before you reach the max performance the SSHD can achieve. 

 

TL;DR: BarraCuda is better since you can store more games for the same money.
