Sorry JDE CPU SWITCH

Hello,

 

Before I get started I'm sorry to jde that I have switch from Ryzen 5 to an intel i7 7700 build

 

I've decided to go with the intel because every pc I owned had intel and I feel like the better choice for me not based on specs is intel.

 

Im paring the intel 7700 or I might do a unlocked version if I can and paring it with a gtx 1060 6gb version

No need to apologize as its your own PC, but still would have been better for you to get R5. If you really want to buy Intel, Coffeelake is about to launch so I would wait for that instead.

Using a product just because of its brand is a bad idea no matter what community its from. That being said, as long as coffeelake I7s don't shoot up in price (Say to ~$400) then the I7 8700(k) should be a very compelling CPU. If you're going to go with Intel you should wait

You don't base performance on specs only, if so the old FX 8350 with similar clock speed would be much faster since it's an 8 core cpu at 4.0 GHz 

 

Just because you used intel in the past means nothing to Ryzen's performance whatsoever 

 

Look at benchmarks to jusge which CPU is better not just numbers and personal preferences

I'm sorry I didn't mean to put it as "brand" what I meant was I have had a lot of intel and I don't believe that I have had an AMD processor  but what I mean is I got the best performence out of my intel side I do like amd but it just not right for me

Man, that's okay if you do like intel & people recommend ryzen mostly now cause it does provide better performance for value. that's being said, wait a while til intel coffeelake is out & you would be fine going with intel.

What are you doing with the computer? If you're gaming, the i7-7700 is ahead of the Ryzen line-up by quite a bit. For the 1060 6GB, you'd be better served by an i5-6600K or an R5-1600.

But I have read on numerous sites that it is for gaming and streaming anc editing I only need it for gaming and intel basically been know for gaming processor I lookup on YouTube best editing pc and basically everyone was rocking an intel core series

Not necessary for a 1060. Those sites are talking about gaming at insane framerates (~240Hz) on insane graphics cards (1080ti, Titan Xp). You probably aren't doing either, and would be better served saving $100-150 and getting an r5 1600.

I will have to agree 7700k is the beast for gaming. it's just the price you will pay, atleast getting a 6 core chip is wise to have for upcoming years & that card 1060 is very bad combo for it. atleast 1070 if not 1080 could justify.

Yes that is true but I have found discounted ones from stores nearby where I live close in range of $20 than an R5

Yeah, those ultimate builds use $800+ cpus with $300 motherboards. I7 is not a cpu, it is a line of cpus.
