Build Problems, help wanted

To see if my new build booted into bios, I powered on the system and used a motherboard video out to go into my monitor via VGA. This is a short term soln, as I plan to get a DVi to go from my GPU. For some reason, when I boot the system my monitor goes right into sleep and wont receive a signal. I have built computers in the past, but this has never happened to me, then again I always booted with the video out from my gpu. Is that the problem, or is something else at work? (BTW, I have an i3 3225, this is for my portable budget gaming system).

Question - how do you know it is actually booting? :) I assume fans are spinning up and such. Any beeps emitted? Try pulling all but one ram chip and try... should boot to onboard video without issue...

Yea the fans are spinning up, no beeps though. The thing got to bios the first time I booted, But dosent anymore.

did you try each individual module of ram?

whats the motherboard model?

Thanks for the input but I was able to fix it, simply by using the graphics card video output rather than the mobo one.

Most times when a Graphics Card is plugged into the system it will detect it and forward all it's graphics there. Otherwise if it is not plugged in then it will go to the CPU graphics.
