Best video card

So I have an AMD fx 8320 and was wondering, whats the best graphics card I can get? Without it getting bottle necked.

Anything above 1060 will bottleneck. 

 

EDIT: Why do you even have such an old CPU? why not upgrade?

I would use your extra money to buy a new CPU/Motherboard. Get out of Bulldozer while you still can. Sell your RAM, Mobo, and CPU for some extra cash too.

It was a gift, so i would feel bad doing anything more than replacing the video card

Cant, long story but it was a gift so im just looking at video cards to keep it usable

what are you expecting to play with it at what kind of settings?

The bottle neck depends entirely on what you plan to do with it.

Im really just trying to get the highest settings i can (with at least 60 FPS)

Just save up for a better system. What games do you play? 

 

You can get a good mid range PC for $450-500.

I'd put an R9 285, R9 380, sth like that in since you don't overclock.

I'd say a gtx 1060 would be just about the butter zone for that. 3gb version for low resolutions and 6gb version for higher resolutions.

your cpu is about the same speed as one of my xeons which isn't actually that bad for video games. I'm sure others might consider a 1060 6gb overkill , but really it's not.

not to mention , you can always move the 1060 to a new machine in the future , so I'd say go for it.
