Gaming with girlfriend

I'm looking for a couple of 'easy' games to play with my girlfriend. ( she has little to no experience )

Rocket League is fun to pick up. My wife and I played for three hours straight on day 1

 

Edit: You do need 2 controllers to play with 2 people. It won't let you use the keyboard/mouse and a controller... kinda lame

with my gf we play civilization 5/6 in hotseat on my rig and diablo II in lan with her on her laptop

Yeah Rocket League lets you play multiple people on the same machine, but the requirement is that everyone has to have a controller

Civ seems a bit too complex. Diablo could work.

civ is easy to explain and she have you doing your turn each turn in front of her to learn as well. my gf got the hang of it pretty quickly, she would even play single player games after that.

That won't be a problem. I have 3 controller at home ( I have 2 brother )

You could try telling her different kinds of genres and asking her which would interest her. I would also recommend a WiiU or Switch.

I played life is strange with mine, it is single player but its nice to play with someone. I also heard stanleys parable is a good one, will play with her sometime soon.

Lego games are easy to get into, are co-op, and there are that many there is a decent chance there is one out there on a franchise she enjoys.

 

That is the key I think, getting good ideas here is one thing, but if there is something she enjoys that has a (good) game, then that is probably better.

First game my girlfriend wanted to play was Arkham Asylum, she was reading the comic as part of her degree and also wanted to play the game.

Perhaps some easy platformers are good for starters or easy shooters.
