First gaming pc

Kunnar Kaer

Hello,

Im new here and thought that maybe i can get feedback on the choice of parts i have selected, also maybe someone who has built a similar pc can provide some info on what i need to keep in mind when building my first PC with these parts. Right now I have the PSU and storage (SSD and HDD).

Thanks for the suggestion on going with a Ryzen cpu, though it will be hard getting my hand on one in my area :P .
Also I really want the beautiful Corsair 570X case and im willing to spend a few bucks more on that, but for the GPU i need to stay under 500EUR and in my region the best I could find was the Strix 1070.

I have updated the list and maybe its better now :)

Get an AsRock board instead of MSI, because MSI boards for Ryzen have a lot of issues. And use the stock cooler or something like a Hyper 212 Evo or Cryorig H7 and use the money you saved to get a 1080.

BTW, Vega 56 has just launched and it is better than the 1070 for the same price:)

Hey, im going to build my first PC and I just want to know if these parts are okay/compadible, I just need a YES/NO answer. The parts are not selected by budget limitations, but rather of availability in my area.
If something doesnt fit in the equation, then im all ears :) (I have already bought the case and PSU)

YES, everything looks compatible (make sure to update the bios after POSTing).

I would not get a liquid cooler if you're not planning to do major overclocking. The stock cooler that it comes with it is pretty good.

The motherboard only supports that cpu after bios 1.30 which is an early bios , but not the factory bios. There's a small chance the board will not post with the cpu so just a heads up.

This will only happen if the board you receive is an original release board.

AIOs are a waste of money IMO. 120mm get outpreformed in every way by air coolers that cost less money and sevral 240mm ones aswell, also they can be quite loud

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
