trying to find a good lens for sony e-mount

I use a Sony a6500 with a 18-105 f/4 lens , I love my lens but it's not fast enough so i am looking for fast lenses. Any thoughts?

are you looking for a prime or a zoom and what sort of focal ranges? I would probably look for a 50 1.8 and 35 1.8

Sorry to say I don't think their is a good option besides the sigma mentioned above.

What focal lengths? 

 

There is only one option for a 1.4 in that price range and that is the Sigma 30 1.4 which I would recommend. 

 

Then I'd look at these ones: 

• FE 50 f/1.8
• 35 f/1.8
• FE 28 f/2
• FE 85 f/1.8 
• Zeiss FE 55 f/1.8 (everyone loves this lens so damn much) 
• Samyang 12 f/2 (manual focus)
• Zeiss Touit 12 f/2.8 

I'd not reccomend the APS-C 50 1.8 as it is not much cheaper and the FF version makes so you can easily upgrade to a FF body and still use it or use it on two bodies if you own both an aps-c and a ff body. I'd also bet that it is slightly sharper. 

 

If you are willing to go used look at the 35 and 50 1.4 lenses. They are quite large though.
