I've got an issue with my MSI GTX 1060 3gb that has shown up over the last couple of days. I've started to see red, blue and green light flashes sometimes when playing games - see the video below, this was taken when benchmarking trying to find the issue. I ran three benchmarks with Heaven and on two out of three the issue occurred.

This has been happening randomly when playing games and sometimes resulting in them crashing but it is not consistent after taking that video I then ran fallout 4 without issue for over an hour.

I've also had discussions with people about this being a potential power issue - as my psu is now very old - I've used CPUID to monitor voltages and all of them seem stable so I'm not sure. Anyone suggest if this looks like graphics or power faults?

Thanks for any help :)

What specs and how many amps on the 12V rail of the PSU?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I'm saving 10K for a Northern Bee shit post probably... Soon I shall become one of the legends and be well known like anyone else with 10K+ posts that is active! Well no more posting for me until I come up with a good 10K shit post...

12V rail is 18A

These are definitely the VRAM. I have these exact flashes if I push my VRAM OC too much.

If you haven't overclocked, RMA the card.

Also, you can underclock your VRAM and try if it fixes it but you should RMA anyway.

There's no overclock on it, will try and underclock to see if it fixes anyway and RMA it.

Thanks for the confirmation guys, much appreciated :)

OK that's 216W, what CPU do you have? I'm starting to think the PSU might be to blame because that's really not a lot

That PSU is enough. GTX 1060 does not take 200W.

His CPU also draws of the 12V rail

*edit*

OP didn't mention it was a dual rail. It's not the PSU it's the GPU. It should be RMAd
