I don't know if i should post it here or in a different section

There are some solutions for using external enclosure for laptops to use external GPU(for example Razer Core). I've been wondering, can anyone develop a technology with similar goal: external CPU?

With GPU it is much simpler: you just need PCIe connection(not just it). With CPUs a lot of other problems could rise. I'm not an engineer, so i don't know a lot of stuff, but even i can understand that this kind of technology probably useless, costs like hell to develop and unreliable. Unless AMD or Intel make a breakthrough with this specific goal in mind.

So it will never happen, but i want to see it nonetheless.

Sorry for bad Ingrish

No, you need the extremely low latency between CPU and memory along with other components. Adding in a process to send to an external CPU would add far too much latency for it to make sense.

No.

You still need a chipset, VRM's, not only that but the speed of RAM is climbing.
