External SSD as a 2nd Boot Drive

Hey,

I have a work laptop that I'm hesitant to throw games onto. So I'd like a secondary SSD to boot from. I couldn't power the SSD directly from USB could I?

Any other ideas other than a whole external enclosure?

Does anyone know if esata would work?

 

nevermind, im an idiot, though you could put http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16839328033 in it if you have an expansion slot
