Budget Case planning

Inversion

I'm going to be upgrading to the Ryzen 5 1600 around Christmas and since I found cable management in my cheap case I have now absolutely horrible. To that end I'm looking for a new case.

I need:

  • Flat top
  • Support for ATX Motherboard
  • 5.25" drive bays (2 preferable since I plan to buy a fan controller and I use a disc drive)
  • USB 3.0 and Front Panel Audio
  • Enough space for Hyper 212 EVO
  • Good Airflow with front and rear 120mm fan mounts (Don't care about top fan mounts since my PS4 lives there)

Would be nice:

  • White (I love the clean look)
  • Window (Not much use right now but will be taking to Uni where it will be seen.
  • PSU Basement (I have a non-modular PSU)
  • Good Cable Management
  • RGB

Please no:

  • Solid Front Panels (rubbish air flow but will consider if well known to have good airflow)
  • Super Gamerish Design

BUDGET IS ABOUT £50

Thanks for the suggestions. I kinda like the Bitfenix one do you know if they make a similar case with a window?

Its a bit purple but I am sure that you could find another colour.

EDIT:

Have found a white version:

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Take a look at the spec cases from corsair. They may not be the best but at least they fit your criteria.

Another option could be the Cooler Master CM 690 III White.

What about the Focus G from Fractal Design? I've heard it's really good for the money and I quite like the look. Anyone used it?

I had seen that video. It looked good and he actually used the same PSU I have and managed to make it look pretty good. That's looking like what I'll probably get. It seems like one of fractal's most versatile cases since it's kinda understated fitting their aesthetic but is more feature rich than even the Define range IMO. I don't understand not having basic things like 5.25" bays. I know a lot of people who still use their desktops for watching DVDs or Blu Rays

5.25" bays as a slot are just fading out of favor with the switch to digital media, theres less of a demand for it, and more for  super clean front panels (hence why most cases look similar to an S340 these days)

I had the same moindset when I bought my case, needed a blu ray burner.... I've used that thing once in the last almost three years and that was to install windows.....

I guess but I'm one of those people who can't afford to pay for Netflix, Spotify, Prime, Now TV and whatever other streaming apps they come up with so I still buy DVDs and CDs that get ripped onto my PC cause it's both cheaper and means I can take loads of movies on holiday with no wifi. Guess I'm one of the few people who still needs an optical drive.

I completely agree.  I do the same thing, but leave the blue ray drive out the side of my pc case rather then attached lol.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
