Hey LinusTechTips comunity, im new here but Linus adressed me here from a video he uploaded about choosing a monitor.

 

I have a EVGA GTX 760 and I have these 4 monitors to choose from:

Why 144hz my 770 cant max games out you would have to lower the settings but why go with something that you really dont need

Definitely not three because is free sync and you will be using g-sync, you might want upgrade GPU to

Every monitor is 1080p, 144 Hz, and has good reviews. AMD FreeSync is useless in your case. I would go for the Acer GN246HL 3D monitor, it might be fun to play around with 3D, and it's cheapest because of some reason

CSGO should run over 200 FPS if his CPU is decent

Thats ok and my FX 6300 its an ok CPU and I go between 90-170 fps but depends on the map

i would get a new GPU. 760 is not pushing many games at 144fps to take advantage of the refresh rate.

this ones nice cause it comes with a gpu in it already, you can probably find a better deal anyway that doesnt have a gpu.

edit: also you should probably get a better gpu as mentioned before

I dont need to upgrade right now and that would be another OEM system taking up space and Im fine for now and I know the i5 2500 is better but Im going to upgrade to ryzen soon plus I am pretty sure that the dell system needs a specific PSU so I dont want to spend more money on a system that I dont need

Thank you all for the replies! Eventually I will upgrade my GPU, and I understand I wont make the most of 144hz with mu current GPU. But nontheless I still want to have a good monitor for when I upgrade my GPU. Based on Noisebomb44's comment I could go for his suggestion?

NVM
