cpu power mgmt.

You should plug the 4-pin CPU power cable into that one 4-pin socket. They usually only have one 4-pin on Intel boards.

You only NEED the normal 4 pin in most cases, the extra +4 connector is for stability. It is much like the 20+4 main power connector, it will work with just the 20 pin plugged in (like older motherboards have), but if you have the 24 pin on both ends you want to use it.

^ As said above. 8pin or double 8pin headers are only with higher end boards and to allow higher OC stability. Or with server/WS boards for same reasons. You only need one 4pin.
