Hey guys I am building my second rig and need some help with my gpu choice. I will be doing 2k and 144hz gaming and wish to knownif a gtx 1070 or rx vega 56 will do the trick or if i should purchase a 1080 or rx vega 64? My other question is do i wait till the 14th for a vega and if so which one? Or should i pay the highly inflated price for a Nvida card and if so which one?

A 1070 should do the trick, go on pc part picker and watch the price tracking, when/if it starts dropping take it because chances are within a week or 2 the prices will fly again

If you want to push 144 hz at 1440p you are going to want a gtx 1080 or rx vega 64. The gtx 1070 is more meant for 1440p 60fps not 144. You could probably push 144 fps with some settings tweaking and on some less intensive games but you are better off with getting something more powerful.
