Internet speed poll

In a community of tech enthusiasts, i'm kinda curious how fast people's internet speeds are around the globe.

so i will start:

- Germany, at a city with high density population
- 32 mbit/s DL promised, about 25 mbit/s in reality, sometimes full speed
- 4mbit/s UL
- maximum for simple non-commercial contracts in my area: 150mbit/s (but no port forwarding possible)

Depending on which house I'm currently in (mums or dads) 6mbps down 1mbps up or 80mbps down (with peak hour traffic at 6-11pm that goes to about 20) and 1.2mbps up. Sucks cos i'd like to stream

I can rely to this. my parents are divorced as well, so i am roaming around two different connections. also at UNI i have like a one million mbit connection which nobody can use because the wifi always drops out^^

- 5 Mb/s UL, lower than I'd like but w/e
 

Parents house:

- US, small town outside NYC

-50 Mb/s DL, always full speed

-25 Mb/s UL, great for server hosting and all ports through the modem are actually unblocked, which is quite rare with any isp

- 100mbps promised, 70mbps usually

- 6mbps upload

- maximum for area 200mbps with guaranteed 20 upload

Download speed is acceptable by my standards, and that nice upload speed is awesome for someone who uploads youtube vids.

much much better than AT&T's cruddy internet speeds in my area (like 14 down 1 up lmao)
