VERY Silent but still cheap and reliable PSU?

I need a simple ATX power supply, which doesn't even need to be modular, which can supply enough power for an i7 3770, a 4-port gigabit ethernet card and about 4 HDDs (so I guess somwehere around 350W).

There is no question:
be quiet, if you want real silent units.

The best for you is somewhere between Pure Power 10 and Straight Power 10. 400W should be enough.

Straight Power has more rails (better protection), a bit better capacitors for 3,3V/5V and +12V(SJ instead of SC) and longer warranty and express replacement in the first year. And also a bit more efficient.

If that's worth the 20€ difference is somethign for you to decide.

The 400W Pure Power is around 50€, the 400W Straight around 70€.

If you want more quality, you either have to wait a month or two for the Straight Power 11 (basically a fully modular, bit cheaper Dark Power Pro 11) or spend ~130€ for a Dark Power Pro P11 550W.

The most important thing though is the silence factor, but i have looked around and the cheapest completely passive PSU i have found was this one by seasonic for around 100€.

Another option of course is semi passive ones and the cheapest one by a known and trusted brand was this one for ca. 80€ also by Seasonic.

Now the question of course is, if it is worth it to go with the completely silent one which is also 80plus platinum rated or with the semi-passive one with 80plus gold or even go with an actively cooled with a known to be very silent/inaudible fan in it.

Eather way let me know!

(Here's the list of psu's i've been using)

Not True

Because a PSU makes electrical noise. If those are noticable it can be annoying. ANd a fan at 500rpm or less shoudn't be noticable if a high quality fan with little to no motor noise is used.

And most fanless PSU have problems with electrical noise for various reasons...
