Can't put 144hz on 144hz monitor

Hello! 

 

So I just finished my build and downloaded all the drivers. 

I plugged my GPU into the monitor with an hdmi cable.

I went to put 144hz but the limit I can put is 60hz.

 

My monitor is a ZOWIE XL LCD, it can do 144hz.

 

Any help?

Have you tried DisplayPort? IIRC, some versions of HDMI can't push 1440p at 144Hz. Maybe the cable you have isn't high enough quality.

HDMI 2.0 is only good for 1440p 120Hz. If you monitor is a 1440p one then you will need DP connection.
