Intel Optane worth it?

I was wondering if it was worth to get Intel Optane for me. Will it help with games and recording games?

the biggest benefit of optane is boot/reboot times, which is kinda the same thing as having an SSD

IMO, only if you can't have an SSD in the system. If you can have an SSD or Optane, I'd go for the SSD.

I don't get the point of optane, as it's to be used to give a HDD SSD speeds for a small amount of repetitive tasks, but far as I can see they cost £70 for a 32GB model and a 240GB SSD costs about the same. I'd rather get the SSD and use than rather than a hard drive, as I will gte the faster boots and more repetitive tasks, sure SSDs are slower but not by much, as linus' video showed.

 

it's £40 for the 16GB but then just get a 120GB SSD about the same price again

you're better off getting a big capacity SSD...

I dont think it is worth it, just get a bigger ssd.
