-basically AM4 mobo VRM discussion-

The one below is the SOC 14A this was only running DDR 2933 though it goes up with higher speed ram. I dont know if its been discontinued but their still doing bios updates the last was on the 9/13/2017, the bios lets me go all the way to DDR 4000

The speed limitation was hardware, not software

 

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

Not sure what you mean by that? You can run the Ram past DDR 2933

One really bad point about this board is the fan headers, the bios software is crap and the windows software is worse, the Asus board is far better

I've been trying the get the RAM stable at 3200 today but no luck, I can boot into windows and run cinebench but prime stops with hardware errors, 3066 is stable but you have to use lose timings so running at 2933 is better. This is with cheap Hynix dual rank memory by the way
