Hey, i would like to start mining bitcoins but really dont really know anything about mining them can someone please explane it to me????

Not really worth it anymore. Any sort of mining with 1-2 GPU's will just gain you like >$1 of profit everyday and your GPU's lifetime will be decreased since its always running at 100%

For bit coin you need ASICs which can run easily $1000 USD

You'd have to go further than that.  GPU mining was a thing up to maybe 2011.  

 

OP - mining become exponentially more difficult, so you need a top tier ASIC on the day of it's launch if you want to actually make a proffit.  Within 6 months that brand new ASIC is no longer profitable.  

 

Bitcoin mining is EXTREMELY competitive.
