Is it worth the upgrade

Hi i have a gtx 1080 and i am wondering if its worth it too upgrade to gtx 1080ti or should i just wait for a newer gpu

Depends on what resolution you play at and the rest of your specs

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Don't. I'd tell you to wait for Vega but if you really bought a 1080 you're already going to be good for quite some time so I wouldn't worry. What are you doing with it that makes you think you'd need an upgrade?

Ryzen is pretty cool I guess

if you got the cash why not.

But its not needed unless your running at 4k.

I'm using a 1070 at 1440 with G sync and would love to upgrade bit I don't think I see much of a improvement .
